The city of Waco Texas has two water treatment plants. The Riverside Treatment Plant currently treats an average of 13 million gallons of water per day from Lake Waco with a maximum capacity of 24 million gallons per day. The Mount Carmel Treatment Plant treats an average of 28 million gallons of water per day with a maximum capacity of 42 million gallons per day.
